Institut Curie vous propose une offre d'emploi dans les domaines Santé - Social, Hôpitaux, Médecine à Paris.
Laboratory
In an extremely dynamic environment, Isabelle Janoueix-Lerosey's team is working on the biology of pediatric cancers, and particularly of neuroblastoma. Our team is covering diverse aspects of fundamental research from the embryonic initiation of tumor development, to the mechanisms of tumor progression and metastases, going to the study of resistance to treatments, also by integrating tumor-microenvironment interactions.
To address all our challenging questions, we generate and explore a large quantity of omics data from high-quality technological platforms from the Institute. Based on innovative technologies, we produce bulk and single-cell data including mainly transcriptomics (RNA-seq, scRNAseq, spatial transcriptomics) and epigenomics (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, scATAC-seq) or both (MultiOme).
Missions
The candidate (M/F) will be in charge of:
- Performing end-to-end data analysis of a wide range of epigenomic sequencing data generated by our team at bulk and single cell level (ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq data and scATAC-seq)
- Integrating these results with other omics data (RNA-seq, scRNA-seq)
- Using and/or developing methods and strategies to explore the data in close collaboration with biologists
- Monitoring technological advancements in relevant bioinformatics analysis methods
- Presenting in team meetings.
The candidate (M/F) will be supervised by the researchers and the permanent bioinformatic scientist of the team. She/he will benefit from daily exchanges with the PhD students and postdocs also analyzing their data, as well as with the wet lab scientists of our team. Additionally, the candidate (M/F) will have the opportunity to interact with the broader bioinformatics community at Institut Curie through Curie Bioinformatics Hub.
Training and experience required
- Master's degree in bioinformatics or related fields with at least 2 years experience
- or PhD in Data Science, Bioinformatics or related fields.
Skills required
- Solid skills in handling NGS datasets
- Solid experience in bash and R/python (other programming languages are a plus)
- Experience with working in an Unix environment
- Experience with working on a computer cluster would be a plus
- Good experience in statistics (hypothesis testing, normalization, differential analysis...)
- Good working knowledge in epigenomics and/or cancer biology would be a plus
- Highly motivated and able to collaborate within the team and to work with biologists and bioinformaticians
- Good skills in written and oral English would be a plus (knowing French is not necessary if the candidate has a good level in English)
All our opportunities are open to people with disabilities
