Laboratory & project
The research group of Olivier Delattre https://institut-curie.org/team/delattre is a partner of the KOODAC Cancer Grand Challenge project ( https://cancergrandchallenges.org/teams/koodac) which gathers pediatric cancer biology and chemical biology research teams to deliver transformative new therapies for children with solid malignancies driven by oncoproteins. The Delattre group has pioneered the discovery and functional characterization of the EWSR1::FLI1 oncoprotein of Ewing sarcoma. It has shown that the viability of Ewing cells requires a precise range of EWSR1::FLI1 expression and activity. The postdoc will investigate the mechanisms of the regulation of EWSR1::FLI1 protein stability and collaborate with chemical biology teams of the KOODAC program to identify therapeutic strategies to degrade or stabilize this protein to induce toxicity on Ewing cells.

Profil

Training and Skills required:
We are looking for a postdoc in cellular and molecular oncology :
- Candidate should hold a PhD in molecular and cellular biology, or biotechnology.
- The candidate should have good knowledge in oncology as well as in molecular and cellular biology
- Expertise in protein biochemistry would be a plus
- Good proficiency in English
- Scientific rigor and excellent analytical and synthetic capabilities
- Team spirit and dynamic personality with passion for innovation and problem-solving

- Ability to work independently, managerial abilities, aptitude for working in a team.
- The candidate should be highly motivated, curious, and enthusiastic to work in a collaborative team.

Contract information

Type of contract : Fixed-term contract (COD)
Starting date: As soon as possible
Duration : 18 months (renewable contract up to 3 years)
Working time : full time
Remuneration : according to the current grids
Benefits : Collective catering, reimbursement of transportation fees up to 70%, supplementary health insurance
