Missions

Institut Curie vous propose une offre de stage dans les domaines Santé - Sports, Médical, paramédical à Paris.

One of the lab's goals is to develop a strategy to reduce the environmental impact of its research activities. With the help of an alternating M2 intern in 2024, the unit has calculated its Greenhouse Gas Emissions Balance (BGES) for 2022 and 2023 using the GES 1point5 tool developed by the Labos 1point5 collective. Results show that "Purchasing" accounts for 80% of the unit's emissions.
The candidate will be supervised by two mentors: Mariou Salou (Inserm Researcher, Environmental Transition Referent for U932 at Inserm) and Maude Delost (Project Manager). Tasks will be carried out in close collaboration with unit members, including the lab manager, and the internal "GreenLab" collective, as well as institutionally with Bastien Pinot (CSR Engineer, Governance).

Missions
The internship will focus on the “Purchasing” category, with the following tasks:
· Draft and collectively validate a first transition plan for the unit.
· Participate in the implementation of actions.
· Stratify the purchasing category to identify the most impactful products.
· Propose solutions to share certain products (inventory, best practices, operational setup of sharing, monitoring impact of measures). This task, which should significantly reduce purchases, ideally requires a scientific background (preferably a bachelor's in biology).
· Finalize the verification of BGES for validation on the Labo1.5 platform.
· Collect and format 2024 data.
· Raise awareness among unit members (create poster materials, give oral presentations to the collective).
· Begin reflecting on eco-design and/or life cycle analyses (LCA) to support informed and responsible decision-making.

Profil

Candidate Profile
· M2 level or equivalent in Environmental Management, Sustainable Development.
· Interest in environmental issues.
· Good knowledge of biology (preferably a Bachelor's degree in biology).
· Experience in a research lab or medical field is not required but would be a strong advantage.
· Autonomy, initiative-taking skills.
· Analytical skills.
· Organized, rigorous, and methodical.
· Good level of English (reading, writing, speaking).
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
· Good IT skills (databases, Excel, etc.).
